Independent Living

• Supervised Residential Dormitory Living

• Licensed Work Training Center (sheltered work setting)

Vocational Training

Comprehensive vocational evaluation at MMH is conducted as part of the initial phase of the residential and day programs. Customized evaluations can be arranged for other individuals in the San Antonio community as well as students throughout the state who typically reside on campus during the evaluation period.

Comprehensive Vocational Assessment

Typically takes from 8 to 15 days and includes the following elements:

• Academic Functional Level Testing
• Vocational Aptitude Testing
• Work Sample Testing
• Situational Assessment (In an actual job setting)
• Transferable Skills Analysis
• Observation of Emotional Stability on the Job

Final written report will be provided within 10 working days of completion and includes:

• Specific Responses to All Referral Questions
• Integration and Synthesis of Results
• DOT 10'Net Based Job Recommendations
• Training Recommendations (if appropriate)
• Special Programming Considerations (if appropriate)
• Discussion of Special Accommodations or Assistive Devices if Needed
• Discussion of Level of Motivation
• Discussion of Job-Related Personality/Emotional Issues

Specified Vocational Assessment

Typically takes from 1 to 8 days (Depending on Referral Questions) and typically includes an appropriate mix of the elements found in a Comprehensive Assessment:

• Guided entirely by the specific referral questions
• May utilize both situational Assessment and Formal Testing
• Designed in collaboration with referral source during coordination for scheduling

Final written report will be provided within ten working days of completion and includes:

• Specific Responses to All Referral Questions
• Integration and Synthesis of Results
• DOT 10'Net Based Job Recommendations
• Training Recommendations (if appropriate)
• Special Programming Considerations (if appropriate)
• Discussion of Special Accommodations or Assistive Devices if Needed
• Discussion of Level of Motivation
• Discussion of Significant Job Related Personality or Emotional Issues, if any

Psychological/Neuropsychological Evaluation

Referrals for psychological/neuropsychological evaluation may be recommended when appropriate and arranged in coordination with the referral source.
