We hope this letter finds you well. We are Kim and Stephen and we are so excited to tell you a little about our family.

Our Marriage...
Stephen and I have been married ten years. We met one summer day through a mutual friend, and after much persistence on Stephen's part we began to date and married a year later. We have an unbelievable love for one another and are best friends. Our love and our marriage have endured so much over the past ten years, and our relationship has only grown stronger. We handle life so well together; we really balance each other out.

Our journey to parenthood has been difficult with many bumps along the way. Eight years ago however, we were blessed with a son. Our lives have become so much fuller because of him. We spend as much time as possible together as a family. We enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to movies, taking bike rides, hiking, swimming, Friday night family dinners at our favorite Italian food restaurant, and taking vacations (especially beach vacations). It doesn't matter where we are as long as we are together we always have a great time.

Kim...
Kim is a teacher and she loves her job. She is very well liked and respected by not only the principals, but by her coworkers as well. She can make friends wherever she goes and can make anyone laugh. When she finds some spare time you will usually find her outside, working in the yard, or in the kitchen baking.

While Kim is very good at work and being a good friend - she does her best work as a mother. I never see her smile bigger than when she's spending time with our son. She's always planning the next "family outing" even when it's only running errands.

Stephen...
Stephen is an unbelievable husband and father. He loves and supports us through everything. He gives me strength when I need it, and he makes me laugh when times get tough. Watching Stephen grow as a father has been an amazing experience and he brings a lot of joy to our son's life. Stephen has so many friends and is always willing to make room in his heart for every new person he meets. Everyone loves spending time with him, he literally lights up a room when he walks in.

He is a man that is very committed to his family, friends, and faith.

Our family and friends...
It's not often that couples can say they have both been blessed with their spouse's family- but we can! Stephen and I both come from large extended families that have lived in Texas since the Civil War. We are all very close and we get together for holidays, barbecues, family reunions, and parties many times throughout the year. We are very blessed to be surrounded by so many people that love us. Our son has been very lucky to have always had grandparents and cousins as babysitters and he never turns down the opportunity to go to either grandma's house. We all believe in the power of having a good time and enjoying each others company and we always have a lot of fun.

We are also fortunate to have so many close friends in the area, many of them we have known since childhood and college. Our children are now growing up together. We enjoy play dates and nights out with them-there always seems to be a good reason to get together!

Our home and community...
Our home is in the suburbs of a large metropolitan city. Our neighborhood is filled with lots of children and wonderful families. We often gather for cookouts, swimming, and block parties. Education is so important to us and was carefully thought of when we purchased our home. The public school system in our area is excellent. We have a walking trail that runs through the neighborhood that allows us to walk or bike ride to a huge playground and a ton of baseball/football/soccer fields. Our town is such a great place to raise a family. We are not far from a major city which offers all that a great city can offer in a short drive.

We hope that this has helped you to get to know us, our family, and the life we lead together. We love being parents and can't wait to share our lives and our love with another child.
